Sup peeps? I know this might be an old topic but I'm new to the uber game. I'm only driving for Uber at the moment and stayed away from Lyft because I heard that the pax were assholes. But recently I've been hearing that Lyft pays better than Uber does. Mind you, I only do this part time. What are your thoughts?

In almost all worlds, both is the way to go unless you are trying to make a promotion.

Uber and Lyft have identical rates.. with Lyft there's a slight chance you'll get a tip. But... Lyft is super slow compared to uber.

Do Lyft whenever you can. The more competition Uber has the better the chances that things will improve for drivers. Much more likely to get tips on Lyft.

I only driver part-time I drive for Uber and Lyft majority the time it's for uber simply to take advantage of their promos or incentives although it's my opinion that lyftt customers are slightly better and your chances for getting a tip on Lyft are slightly increased due to the fact that this has a tip option in their app. It seems there's more passengers on Uber than there is lyft. Run both and stay busy

Lyft is a decent chance of a tip (I get one at least every 3rd ride), and I believe it has in general slightly better pax.
Lyft is much slower, but I make a little more per ride. I very rarely get a Lyft-Line, but too often get Uber Pool (pings are maybe 40/60 Pool/X).
Unless going after incentives, I keep both apps open - especially in the suburbs - but only do the Uber app when in the city in the weekend night hotspots and it's really hopping. Then for a few hours, Uber keeps me going full boogie. Otherwise, I'm usually both apps going. My night's proceeds usually run around 3:1 or 4:1 Uber over Lyft, but I sometimes neglect Lyft a bit.
Lyft pax rate me better: I'm high 4.9x on Lyft, but only mid 4.8x on Uber. I suspect my Uber rating might be lower because I occasionally take pools when chasing incentive. I believe Pool is too often a rating killer.
