Sooo I think ever since Lyft put a bunch of drivers on their new heat map beta testing and completely killed those drivers earnings, uber noticed a big shift in more people driving uber so now they started suppressing morning and evening rush hour surges. I mean usually it surges a bit early morning and then 7:30ish am and in the evening

There are soooo many Ubers out. I typically drive AM 5-7:30 before my fulltime job, I got three requests this morning, all short trips around the loop, before 6 AM and then nothing. Drove back home and pulled up the driver app near Fullerton/Kedzie, ants everywhere and >1 min wait time for a ride. On my 9 mile ride to work I counted no less than 8 empty Ubers, app on.

It's always slow in the mornings when weather is good.
