You folks would complain if you won the lottery!!!! Jeez it's a good thing Uber did and they didn't have to do it. My 27 rides (really hard for me to do) reduced to 22 rides $65. That is doable I had 6 rides today.

Really the only thing I complain about is Uber cuz they scam so bad and unskilled drivers which is about 75% of the general population and about 90% of the Uber drivers.

I am complaining about you complaining about other people complaining.

WTF is your quest 27 for $65 when mine was 27 for $50. Mine got reduced to 22 as well, but why for $15 less. They need to make that reason transparent or we will will continue to be skeptical. They are toying with people's income.

I get the frustration I really do. The problem is, there are zero guarantees.

We are being manipulated, yes. You can manipulate back if you want! For example if you don't drive for a week, your boost will very likely increase. But there is no guarantee.

Uber probably uses all kinds of data to determine each drivers weekly boost, including:

1 - forecasted demand. Maybe for the upcoming week Uber feels it will have "enough" drivers. So it doesn't need you as much. So your particular incentive to drive is lower.

2 - how you reacted to previous boosts on average. If you always make your boosts.... the boost $$ likely will be lower. Uber wants to incentivize you to drive MORE... not drive to the levels you always drive to. I realize there are other ways to look at this aspect.

3 - maybe your driver rating? Perhaps Uber offers greater incentives to what it perceives as it's "better" drivers.

Just some thoughts....but I do get the frustration ... my advice is not to ""expect" anything just drive on your own terms... we are ants nothing more!!!!

When Uber announced the dissolution of the Metals Program and announced.the new.wonderful Boost Incentives Program I believe they said it would be tailored to each driver.

It wouldn't surprise me if acceptance rate is part of it. If you have low acceptance they probably give you an easier Quest than if you do same number of rides and high acceptance rate.

My Lyft acceptance rate for this week is 20% lol.

I think they do tailor it but in the opposite of what most of us thought. I have noticed that most of you that post your quest, it seems to get worse the more you drive. As I stated above, I haven't driven since December and they are throwing numbers like 21/$110 or 24/$140 at me. I also noticed for most of you due to the snow, your number of trips got reduced by 5 while mine got reduced by 7.

I am observing the same trend, PJ. I just wish Uber had the balls to admit to punish drivers for actually meeting their benchmarks. In any symbiotic relationship or capitalist enterprise, the driver that worked harder would be rewarded. But in the Uber/Lyft world, you are "rewarded" for not driving at all for months. And punished for making quest and actually contributing more to Uber's system.

I am still responsible for my own success and I am owning that, but I will continue to voice my complaint and observations of bad practices by Uber.
