Uber trials replacement cars for platinum drivers following accident

Uber included the following in its newsletter emailed to New South Wales and ACT drivers at 5.00 pm on Wednesday 17 April 2019:

Access a replacement vehicle when yours is off the road - a new program we're trialing for Platinum partners

Accidents happen - At Uber, we want to help get you back on the road quickly after an accident. That's why we've partnered with Rideshare Accident Vehicles. They're offering Platinum partners who have an accident on-trip while using the Uber app access to a rideshare vehicle to keep earning while their primary car is off-road. If you're eligible and you're in an accident and you report it to Uber, we'll let you know how to access this program.

Trial program only. To be eligible you must be a Platinum partner in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra & Perth and accident must have occurred 'on-trip', meaning after a driver accepts a trip request, on-trip or up to 15 minutes from the trip being completed or cancelled.
