Thinking about getting a more cost efficient vehicle.. maybe a Lexus ES 300h = 40 mpg.

Curious who drives both Uber Select and UberX, and how they compare, especially when it comes to the difference in rides and weekly earnings.

With gas prices rising, it sounds like the money saved in petrol might very well cover the cost of a car payment (with enough down on a 3 year old model.)

Well I assume you do X now, so compare however that works for you with keeping the app on at all times and maybe getting pinged for a $20 ride about twice a week on select.

Lol.... IF he does X/Select and ants it up, thats exactly what will happen. Too much base rate x pingage to rver be available to be pinged on the vast majority of select runs ordered near him, and the few he does get will usually be surge avoiders ...who wouldve paid MORE pinging the very same car on X at the time

Now if he viciously cherrypicks Lyft surge with Uber usually on Select-only .... Whole different ballgame if done right.

...As to X surge cherrypicking while making the most of switchable Select-only-mode, thats faaaar too advanced class for now.

This done while driving a full size gas guzzler Ford Expedition for .90 mile.

1)almost all of it IS plus and surged plus at that. Here ya go, proofpic

384 fares x 0.95 + 20 inapp tips = $385....under 'saturday'.

And then goes on into "sunday" morning with $60 more in plus

2) lyft shows PDB multipliers as "bonus" for the week, never updating the daily earnings to reflect commissions back.

A 1.28x multiplier on 300 bucks + a couple crack of dawn sunday morning rides ~IS~ an >$400 saturday night.

I've been wondering this also, if I should add my GLK350 on my driving account. Right now I drive select from 10PM-3AM FRI/SAT. At this time I can only drive these hours. My daily goal is $200 between that time being somewhat selective.

Do you think- I can reach my $500 within those hours in LA doing Select?

$500 in 10 hours? No, this would not be common on Select. Perhaps if you got really lucky and there was high demand and you caught tons of long trips.
