They can get it. But as soon as they get it they better make sure they get 3500-3600 dollars a year for liability insurance and if they financing a car they have to get another 3500 a year for full coverage (that's if they have a clean license). Don't forget almost 500 dollars for registration yearly to give to DMV. Don't know if it will work the same way in NJ, but that's the way it works in NYC.

Average run from NJ to Laguardia or JFK will net you $50-80 but it's a scam. Once you remove $28 (or more) for tolls, you're only making 20-50...

So a $55 far will net you roughly (55-28) $27 for an hour an a half work if you're lucky... 3 hours if you're in traffic.

Uber needs to let drivers keep the $20 NY fee. Charge the driver an extra $20 for going out of state. It's a joke that 3 people can go from Jersey City to Laguardia for only $55.
