I took a ride from love field AP to DFW AP. As usual, I take 35 to 635. I check the fare details and uber subtracted a mile and graphed that I took a different route. The adjusted route only cost me a dollar less, but this is plain illegal. They could at least graphed that I took actual roads. Looking closer, there aren't even roads where uber says I supposedly took. And to top it off, look at what they responded. They said I should take the recommended uber route so that uber pockets more money. What do you guys think?
The actual route I took was the one on google maps.

Just admit you are taking the longer route to get paid more. Everyone has done it. You got paid more than enough for that ride.
As I've said over and over, yeah I do take the longest efficient route obviously to get paid more. That's what being an independent contractor is all about. If you let Uber screw you that's on you. By the way, it was a Select ride. I'm not wearing my car for pennies. The point here is that Uber can and does alter your route so that they won't pay you what you actually drove. And the difference is just like 4 miles. Wow. Life changing money. Whatever. I just want to warn y'all about the unethical actions uber takes. We are here to win. Not lose. Get with the program people.

Or you could give good service, take the most efficient route and get a $20 tip.
mmmm nah... I'd rather give a great service and take a longer fast route.

DirtyLee I don't know what your fuukin problem is. Mad because you get pennies? Change your game. Period. I'm just warning everyone of the fraud Uber commits. If I sign a contract under someone else's name, that's fraud. If uber reroutes my route so that they can make more money, that there is fraud in itself.

Considering that most of us are eating more depreciation on our cars than the average car owner it's NEVER more than enough what we earn from screwber.
That's what I'm saying. I don't see why everyone is hating. It's a hustle. If you get hustled by Uber, go to McDs.

Yeah 35 to 635 is never the faster route
well...
when there's no traffic it's the same, but you keep $8 more for you instead of uber pocking. Remember, if Uber tells you to do something, you do the total opposite.

I'm a newbie, so fresh i just finished ride 20 today. GPS navigation is new, too, and has been doing nothing but causing me all kinds of grief. Uber nav keeps driving me in circles. Literally. Half the time it sends me in the total opposite direction i need to go. Just this morning, for example, i was on Beltline at 80 in Mesquite. Pinged for pick up off 20 and Lawson, southeast of where i was. Uber/Waze sent me a mile west to get on Galloway and go to Main street east, over to 352/Collins/Pioneer to wiggle over to Lawson road pick up. Crazy!!!! Like a dumbass i followed Uber nav. Cost me a good 15 minutes extra time and at LEAST 2 extra miles to get to pick up.
Last week nav tried to send me from Mesquite to Shady Grove in Irving via Samuel and Irving Blvd all the way. Would have taken me two days to make the trip going Uber recommendation! I haven't figured out all i need to know about uber app to figure out how much they screwed mw out of getting to Irving, but it only paid $15 to me at the end of the ride.
Navigation is just ludicrous.
