So I reviewed this email tonight:

Font Number Paper Document Paper product

Did anyone else get it? I am going on week three of not driving, so not sure exactly when this "technical error" occurred.

Whatever the case, always happy to get some extra moolah!

Interesting! Wonder how they came up with that figure?

That's what I was wondering too. I was hoping someone else got the email so we could see if the amounts are consistent across all drivers or if certain factors went into calculating that $34.68 amount.

The amounts are different and some didn't receive it at all. It's compensation for the down time Thursday. I didn't receive a compensation, which is odd since I drove a lot last week, while others who didn't drive at all received a decent amount.

I received $6.75 and I drove 8 hours Thursday. Essentially, one minimum fare before Uber cut.

I sent an email to support asking them what criteria was used to determine individual payouts. Their response, if any, should be hilarious!

To receive extra cash from Uber and your knees are not sore is a good thing.

You think theyll do this again next time system goes down? I think this was a setup to fire someone at corporate.

I emailed them too and they responded to keep watching for a incentive added to my week's statement. I don't plan on holding my breath.. Blue isn't my color ;)

I'm still in my first month and have raised a pretty heavy stink with them since day one. Maybe that's why I get responses, who knows. I've never experienced a job where the company had such little regard for employees/contractors. It'll be interesting to see if they make positive changes for their Atlanta drivers.

$39 from driving or did $39 spontaneously appear on your statement?

I think they did it because so many lost wages due to the down time. I'm sure someone in their IT department is tucking tail at the unemployment office this week for sure
