Yes, this is a violation of the MA Agreement — the destination must be provided upfront.

Complain for multiple reasons in as many categories as possible.

You need to provide evidence; video and screen caps are needed, most likely.

My last complaint with the AG went over poorly. They advised me to pursue it "through a private lawsuit".

 

Accept the Shared ride, then immediately stop accepting trip requests so the app can't add the second (or 3rd!!) passenger. Some drivers have gotten nasty messages from Uber for doing this, but I've been doing it for years and Uber has never complained. The only time I take a second passenger is if Uber sends me 2 passengers in the first trip offer and I can see where the final stop is.

 

Also got the same warning messages after stopping trip requests after accepting shared rides. I decided to stay away from shared rides altogether.

 

Everyone, text support and complain that Share rides violate the MA Agreement as a preemptive action.
Support will struggle to understand. It doesn't matter. Just the act of complaining helps.

the fare of an uberx share trip is about 15% lower compared to a normal uberx trip. each uberx share leg you added, you are underpay by 15% (about several dollars). imagine after completing your 4th leg, you are missing out on 12-15 usd at least.

SO then you don't accept the share requests that show 2 trips from the beginning. Are you getting that many of them where this would drastically change your overall earnings?
