Uber hourly average

Good read but are these hourly averages for basic uber x and standard Lyft. It doesn't clarify that. You would think that would be an important factor. I may have missed it, I'm still waking up.
I actually responded to the survey...

The question was, what is your average hourly pay (paraphrasing from memory)? The ant/grinder most likely averages $15.00 per hour when Boost/Surge is factored in. Otherwise it would be closer to $12.00. He also did not break out earnings by product (X/XL/Select). The survey was also national.

The problem is that these surveys tend to skew to older/educated drivers. (Try posting a 20 question survey on UPnet and see how many respondents you get.) As we have seen with recent polling, the accepted methods no longer work.

There's no way that I average that much after expenses (depreciation, per mile rideshare insurance, gas, maintenance). If I drive Sunday to Thursday, $5 an hour is more like it, $7 if lucky. Weekends, more like $11 an hour. I'm a part timer though, so I'm at work during the busy hours.
It's not "After Expenses"...

So many surveys are from a limited group and not representative of drivers as a whole.

Also, instead of talking about fares or earnings as if that's what drivers are making (and occasionally mentioning there are expenses), how about CLEARLY stating what's left over after expenses?
That's tough to do...

Every driver's per mile expense is different. Every driver's per hour expense is different.

I used $0.30 per mile, and in L.A. $3.00 per hour.
