...Like when the written/turn-by-turn instructions do not match roads on the map. It makes for a crazy and unsafe trip, not to mention unhappy and stressed out passengers and drivers. This has happened to me 2 times out of my 12 trips with Uber. That's really poor on their part. Our jobs are challenging enough, without crap like this happening.

I was in a complicated apartment complex, picking up a passenger. The navigator/app did not give any turn-by-turn directions---it was frozen and unresponsive. Maybe it was in need of CPR? I had to ask for the passenger's help---it was unprofessional and embarrassing.

Why are you posting this on the Lyft forum? It's no wonder you have so many issues with the apps, can't even post properly. SMDH

1. Not being a 'Richard' here but there's a Search feature here. Use that before posting stuff that's been beat to death.

2. Google Maps IMHO is the best. Less cluttered than Waze and it gives more routes for Longhauling.

__________

First, if your GPS freezes, shut down the trip and and start again. This is a machine. There are problems. Learn how to work around them. I use Google Maps and find it incredibly accurate. Also, you need GPS to get out of some of these apartment complexes. If the streets are not matching where you are, stop the GPS and restart it. When that happens with me - it is very brief and the app will generally correct itself. Don't make any type of a comment . As far as your paxs is concerned, everything is fine. If you make a wrong turn the GPS will reroute you.
A professional driver is always calm. No one ever knows that they have made a mistake or are having a problem because they know how to correct it without drawing attention to the issue.
