Yea they just started doing that a week ago. I had a $12 double. Both orders had a base pay of $1 and $5 tip

 

Now, I see base pay of $1 for each trip

 

I'm not that old but, I remember as a kid going around the neighborhood looking for soda bottles to turn in for 2 cents apiece. That was more fun than getting shafted by Uber every day.

 

This is why UE has been profitable since 2021. On 2 average orders of $25 ea they’re taking 30% from the restaurant + average $3.50 delivery fee from the customers.

On your double they made around $22 and paid you $2.

I'm shocked that they only charge an average of $3.50 delivery fee.

 

I remember the good ole days of each trip having a $3 base pay attached; so-long to those days, I suppose. We’re a far way off from those days.

 

Sundays used to be the best days for delivery; higher base pay, less traffic, plenty of orders. Then on Mother's Day two-and-a-half years ago it all went to crap. Sundays haven't been the same since. I always wonder if Uber, being as evil as they are, deliberately chose Mother's Day to do that.
