New thread on eats ,and will update monthly ,for those on ride sharing or forum browsers who may be interested in giving eats a go.
Last year, accepted just less than 700 drops for year, and my acceptance rate below 1%.
I only accept food drops ,and average drop around $16-$18 last year.
Accepting alcohol, supermarket and goods drop ,better acceptance rate would substantially increase my income.
I will set a minimum target of 60 drops per month-January will be an outlier though ,as away on holidays for 3 weeks.
These drops will predominantly be accepted from home ,so can work on other side hustles.
My average thus far in January is $20 , app pinging consistently .but a lot of $5-$10 rubbish.
Promotions really tank rates-example would be $7 for double drops.
I only done 3 drops NYD because of this ,but app was pinging non stop ,so $600+ possible ,considering promotions on offer ,but u would have had to work for it.
What I have found with some independent contractors posts on here, a lot are part time.
My tax free eats threshold is $6k ,so minimum annual eats income to that ,but everything after that has to be high margin, considering expenses/tax to be paid.
Handy money for me ,for something that I really enjoy , getting my 6000 daily steps in ,and listening to music during drops.
U got to do what makes u happy ,and flexibility is key for me.
Looking forward to day 2 test-Konstas v Bumrah bring it on.
Personal goals for 2025
1-Increase daily steps to 7000
2-Increase my max bench from 80kgs to 100kgs.
3-Play football twice a week
4-Take in a Man U game
