Well I know for fact that UberEATS has been stealing my tips since on several occasions I have spoken with the customers I deliver for since I have several repeat customers due to the fact I deliver most between midnight and 6 am and in my area am one of only a handful of delivery drivers between those hours. That being said on several occasions the customer told me how much they appreciate me and that they gave me a large tip to show they're appreciation and guess what on most of those occasions I received literally no tip at all whatsoever. I have noticed that UberEATS will give a low amount when the order first shows up for me to claim delivery then they will give about $1 over the estimated pay so I am to believe I made more then estimated originally so I won't question that the customer didn't tip and due to the leave at door note from customer Uber believes I will not speak to the customer and therefore never know. Unfortunately, for UberEATS I go above and beyond with each customer and message them each step of the way this is to provide them with exceptional service to ensure I get tipped well since my goal is to make money. I know for fact they are stealing my tips and I am vigilant at making sure I screen shot each step of the process from the moment I get the offer to the messages between the customers and myself to the pay received upon completion of delivery and then the pay after the one hour tip time is completed and now I even ask customers who I have the pleasure of speaking with to allow me to take picture of their charges and tip their paying and even some who will send me images of the final amounts paid and tipped hours after the delivery is completed and so I know for FACT UberEATS is stealing my tips and that not only am I not okay with this but none of the customers I have spoken with are either and common sense tells me if it's happening to me it's happening to every single UberEATS delivery driver. And I know several attorneys begging to take on the case cause it will be huge but until I have several other delivery drivers documenting this and willing to support the claim I will not move forward but trust and believe I will not just allow them to steal from me, my customers or anyone else who is trying to make honest money or pay to use their service. So please delivery drivers be vigilant and protect what is yours since you earned it and start documenting everything you can and communicate with your customers!
