Either I am a employee that gets told what to do or I am a "rideshare" partner that's providing a
service which helps make the environment green and helps make the world full of peace and
love, who give's out hundreds of dollars of free water/gum/candy every year from his own pocket
so Uber the angel among all corporation's gets a real positive image for free o_O

Rideshare Partner/Independent Contractor who may be let go on the whims and fancies of Foober
or customers
(due to a toxic environment created by Foober policies, aka bs rating system, no tipping, advertising
to customers about free water paid for by the rideshare partner causing drama etc)
can also pick and choose which assignment's I like to work on because I am not being provided
with the safety net/benefits of a employee who has a weekly/monthly salary which does not
also fluctuate with the whims and fancies of Fuboor

i want to opt out of those, hopefully it will happen. From what i noticed for the most park those passengers that use uberpool are complete bums, if you have water, they'll take it from both doors, if you have candies, they will take it all. on a 2 mile ride they will ask for an aux cord. Also quiet often they will have a long phone conversation, which would bother other 2 independent riders. At the end, i as driver get more problems keeping passengers calm and etc, just to get a general uberx rate paid? no thx, i'd rather opt out and do forced uberx.

Just look what i had the other day. i pick up a guy, than a girl, and than another girl. 3 different passengers that are not connected. Last girl either have overeaten or was drunk, she was gagging and was on the verge of puking. the first 2 pick ups ran away after 2-3 blocks of last pick up. which i has issues driving anyways being constantly afraid if last passenger pukes and than i have to deal with whole reimbursement thing. On top of that i'm sure as hell, those 2 ran offs gave me 3-4 stars, just because of the situation, not because i was rude, i was recklessly driving. Why should i deal with this crap for such little pay?

So the question is why in the hell you accept these pool rides in a first place instead of just ignoring them.
Don't touch the screen when you see word POOL on it.
Simple as it is. And I don't need their opt out for this.

No_Nonsense, how can you even write that knowing that after 3 rejects during any 2 hour period uber locks you out for 30 mins? don't try to play smart, i do cancel when i can but i also need to make money, so i can't afford taking 30 minutes naps.
I'm not talking about canceling. I'm talking about not accepting. It's a huge difference. You seem to not understanding it.
I have over 4000 rides with them and not a single time I was kicked out for any amount of time.
I don't play smart. You do and You sound ignorant.
So keep pooling. Less for me.

I'm not in that age to make stories here.
They acceptance and cancellation policies changed due to CA lawsuit settlement.
The other thing is (I'm not that sure though) to go off line for few seconds after ignoring request. It's supposedly reset your timer or what I hear. Sometimes I do that. Most of the time not.

not calling you a lair nor picking a beef, i guess uber has things going on there. Just last week i was deactivated for 30 minutes, for no accepting 2 uberpools and an uberx with 3.9 rating that popped one after another with 2-5 minutes time different. I really mean not accepting, not canceling an already accepted call.

Realityshark, i need money, not uber. Unfortunately, employers don't offer any thing better than 15$ a hour and even than they thing that they are doing a huge favor. Jobs that offer living wage salary have 5+ years wait lists. Sure uber is not the only one, i play the game with other too.

You ever heard of Juno? Lyft? Gett? You get logged off, only one losing is uber, they are too stupid to realize but they will soon enough. When you get kicked off for 30 min. Go on another platform, and work. If you feel like going back to uber in 30 min go ahead, if not keep working other platforms.

They do treat use like employees, there can be no questions left about it. Hope the judge on the settlement denies it and they have to rework it. Uber got off easy and it wasn't good for the drivers.

Don't accept pool. Get a timeout? Switch to Lyft for those 30 mins.

So F uber. Dont do pool. They time you out, they are losing a driver, if every driver does that they will change their tune.
can't argue here really, but as i mentioned before, for us all it's money, not lyft, uber or juno and unfortunately uber offers very lucrative promotions, which so far neither juno nor lyft were able to beat. After main factor - money, comes efficiency of your time spent. I see no reason why should i work like a donkey for lyft to get their no commission promo just to make mere 1500$, when i can work for uber less than 40 hours, make 1200 and get 300$ bonus? well at least that's how i look at it, to me it comes down to efficiently used time (ideally it would sound, work less, make more).
