Was this a Perth based Uber driver??? JeffaO is normally in the loop so I would take this to be true.
Soooooo the question is will Uber pay it for the driver, or will the poor Uber Driver have to pay it?????

Could be a rumour mill put out by taxi drivers to try and scare off Uber drivers??

I'm not driving anymore so I have no fear! 
If I was driving I would be a bit woried of any possibility of getting a $14k fine.

So does anyone acutally know if the poor driver does have to pay the $14k and not Uber? That would hurt a lot!
