Uber doesn't care about customer ratings, as long as they pay and someone will take them then that's good enough.
They know drivers can't read everything on the ping screen fast enough, in fact they count on it.
It's why one has to use Mystro or some other filtering app. Makes a big difference in the pay automatically declining subpar trips, like long trips where one will have to deadhead back empty.
Out of over 10,000 trips, I think I only got 2 long trips that after setting a direction filter actually got something going back and it was back to the airport.
