Here is the problem uber customers. The standard rate is a complete joke. You should tip on these rides unless the car smells or is dirty or if the driver is rude! I mean do you tip your waitress, bartender, and your taxi cab driver? THEN TIP THE UBER DRIVER YOU FREAKING CHEAP PIECES OF CRAP!!!!!

Not sure where I saw the comment but whoever said they never give 5's unless the passenger tips I thought that was a bit unprofessional. Seems like the issue is really with Uber and not the customers. Nobody tells the customers they have to tip. I was a rider in Asheville once and this guy had signs all over his car that said Uber does not let you tip drivers in the app and he complained about it the whole ride saying how the pay was unfair and Uber lies, etc. I was with my wife and her family and it made us all very uncomfortable with such passive aggressive comments. Yeah he never came out and directly asked, but we all knew what he was getting at. You want to just give him a few bucks so he'd stop griping about it.

Now that your driving wouldn't some tips make the job somewhat make sense?

I agree? I never ask for a tip. But the service at standard rate is very cheap. Or is it expensive if a person is using it on a regular basis?
