These emails are a load of it and an insult to your intelligence. Childish contests for small money? How about you greedy guts raise the .85 rate to a living wage? Here's an idea since you DO next to nothing for us. If you're going to drown us with a .85 rate how about you scumbags lower your fee from 20% to 15%? I hope Uber gets nailed to a barn door in California court over drivers being employees.

While there's an element of risk in the seeming randomness of pax one gets, that's business. That doesn't bother me. There are things I can do to influence the "random walk" so that I earn consistent profits. People who want predictable rarely succeed in any entrepreneurial endeavor.

That said, I'm absolutely NOT motivated by raffles. Guarantees? That's better than a sharp stick in the eye, even though I usually beat the guarantee in my net fares, anyway. But raffles? Meh. Pfft. I don't even read those emails. I just delete them.

How many Uber drivers are in Dallas, thousands? And they want us to get excited about 3 lucky winners -- "Limited time! Rush hour demand is high, give more trips and get more tickets!"

Your odds are better going to the store and putting $1 on a Pick 3 quick pick. You'll deprive Uber of one SRF and get a higher prize payout too, $500 vs. Uber's $200.
