The result is that Uber is still losing money and burning cash.
The result is that the CEO who promised profitability within 2 years changes his statement.
This lower increase in bookings means that the parabolic growth curve is flattening.
This will result in even higher rates charged to pax and lower payouts to drivers, because robotcars, rent a bike, and flying cars need to be developed by a taxi company.

 

Uber will slowly deactivate the drivers app as the driverless cars become popular. When the drivers app is gone Uber will then start to raise the price of the autonomous cars. So don't go out and get a car note!

Yet in many countries, Dara insists that Uber must continue breaking the law. This is Uber after all and dara is no different than Travis except for better PR (and the fact that Travis actually created something, Dara simply gets handed a golden egg and gets asked to wipe the tarnish off.)

This is simple.
Dara has no more "credentials" than you.
You and 5 million other drivers are required to pay his compensation.
Dara continues to break the law in multiple jurisdictions.
Dara has failed to quickly replace failed executives and senior managers that have been ethical failures.
Dara now admits profitability will not happen when he promised it would.
Dara still prevents from Uber truly releasing its books in either GAAP or IFRS standards.
Dara still lies and claims that drivers are doing swimmingly even after the MIT study proved otherwise.
Dara still thinks that Uber should waste its money developing robot cars (to put you out of work and to claim that Uber, a corrupt taxi company, is the entity best placed to bring this technology to market).

Every time Uber lies to you, or cheats you, or steals from you (daily basis), remember tha Dara is now the man in charge of this abhorant behavior towards the unwashed masses without "credentials".
