Uber App Logging me off

This just started today, but I keep getting logged off by the app at random and it gets to where I am even asked to select a vehicle, I lost two rides already today so I'm losing money because of it.

Anyone else experiencing this problem and is there anyone we can actually contact or are we just screwed until they fix it in an update?

Or better yet, should I start looking to work for more than just Uber at this point?

Yep... I just replied to a thread about this. Glad I'm not the only one. Keep getting his message. I think I'll pass on driving tonight. Don't wanna chance not getting paid because I can't stay logged on for more than 2 min.

It is happening here in Chicagoland too! I just got logged off four times in the last hour! And not only do I have to log on again I have to actually enter my email address and password each time too! When I finally get logged back on I see there is a surge that only lasted two more minutes and then it was gone. :oops:

But, on the bright side, I can actually see my pax ratings now! In over seven months driving for Uber this is the first time I have seen my passengers rating! :cool:

You haven't been able to see what rating PAX had before you accept them?
it's not logging me off but man that shit's taking forever for the ride to accept.

Happened to me too in downtown sd. Was able to log in after few tries.

Nope. Not here in Chicago if you use an IPhone! Don't ask me why though. I have no clue. o_O

Mine logged off 3 times during a ride that lasted an hour today. Luckily I was parked every time. Finally switched to my Android.

Join Lyft so you can have two options of work.
Well mine finally worked out, my passenger said he was having issues with the app on his end too.

I'm not going to do Lyft but I might do this new one I was told about called Opeli which claims not to take any percentage from the fares, but I have not looked too much into it.
Erick, never heard of Opeli(must be a new startup) in all my extensive studies on ride sharing. Sidecar, I have heard is a small player. Uber & Lyfts are the big ones.

I noticed yesterday that one of my Frequent passengers rating did not show up on the app. I did email them to get rid of that stupid shadow box text.
Well yesterday the app went offline again while in the middle of a ride, so luckily I was paid in full but it still make me look bad when I had to pull over and pull up google maps just to get them to their destination.

I got logged off during a ride last night and could not restart ride. Customer also had issues. He was honest and paid me cash which I do not encourage because of secret shoppers and threat of him contacting uber with issues. International liaison of students abroad and I ended up with the craziest string of events over next 2 hours. Two other students were throwing cash at me to drive them around San Diego. I don't like the liability and dealing with non documented riders but ended up making $80 in 2 hours clear. But burned a lot of miles and 1 toll charge. No surge last night, so made up for a slow shift. Got another $23 tips from 2 other customers. Ended up 12 hours online at $300 gross, over $200 net profit after $42 gas for 300 miles driven. Craziest night, too many backwards miles, not doing that shit tonight. cancelled the drunk idiots at the 2am hour, finally got decent ride to pay for my commute gas for the day. Drive safe!

Uber support has been awesome in any troubles I have had. The new app. just has to get the kinks out of its system.
