Hi Gays and Gals,

Just FYI, a spiteful nasty Newark pool rider recently made false allegations against me that I was driving intoxicated. That caused Uber to deactivate me for 24 hours. Amazingly, Uber is compensating me $100.00 for my down time. See screenshot. I also hope they deactivated the lying rider too but Uber is silent on that issue. Uber really may be turning a corner where it cares about its drivers.

Or maybe they are worried driver WILL start hauling pax into small claims court over these false allegations. Could be a nightmare for Uber if everyone accused did it, and their only fix possible would be to tell the pax to call the cops immediately to test. Driver might lose a 1/2 hour or so, and depending on what's going on that might not be good, but wouldn't lose as much. Also, pax would be right there and driver could counter any specific claims made with dashcam evidence. Pax could get a ticket, I would imagine, for making a false report for gain ($25) or harassment purposes.
