Uber almost always faster than metro, and at times less expensive (in a Pool)

Great data here. If a metro trip involves a transfer, it's basically always faster to take an uber instead. In off-peak hours (evenings/weekends) when metro waits are long, it's also almost always faster to take an uber as well. Lastly, trips from one side of the Red Line to the other within DC proper can be shortened by up to 20 minutes in an uber and costs about the same as a metro ride.

Metro always wins on both time and cost when traveling from the end/middle of a spoke to the downtown hub on a single seat ride, just as intended since it was built for morning & evening commuter transit...not a 24/7 urban people-mover.
