Oh boo hoo. Poor DTS drivers didn't get a raise. Seriously, you have no right to complain about the shore rates. Wait until Uber lowers them; THEN you can cry in your beer.
I wasn't complaining. I was just pointing out that uber can give themselves a raise but not look out for the drivers. Raising the rates helps all, not just the ones who live here because you all come here anyway.

I wonder if Uber did this because they are going to start doing "dollar surge" like Charlotte, NC.
They've been doing it in different markets around the country not just here.
I think it's part of the Dara damage control. Or they could be setting us up for an upfront cash price surge. I just don't think that will go over well with the drivers and right now in Uber situation I don't think they want to piss off the drivers any more then they already have. But of course I could be wrong and since the vast majority of drivers are new they wouldn't know the difference anyway and would figure it's just the way it's always been.

It could very well be damage control and I do hope that it is. I do take to Twitter and let fo0ber know how I feel about them and there are 1000s of others doing the same thing, so perhaps they are taking heed. Who knows? I do know that I do not trust them at all to ever do right by their "partners."

Gotcha, just stating a fact. Sorry if I misread your post...

Uber gives themselves a raise all the time with upfront pricing, not paying for tolls, etc. I'm pleased with the increase but concerned about what they are now going to take away.

This is their third booking fee raise without a raise DTS. They have raised their take 3 times in the last year and of course their cash grab at the pax upfront scam. Now that an IPO is in the offing next year if they were to raise prices globally they should do it soon. If they raise Lyft follows. Who you going to drive for if one pays more? But I'm sure all the financial gurus on here don't agree. When the VC and PE money stop subsidizing each and every ride the economic s point to higher rates to be a profitable company.
Flying taxis the path to profitability ? Doubt it
