We heard your feedback - AdditionaluberPOOL pickups are getting easier

Driver-partners have told us that additional pickups on uberPOOL can be a challenge. The rider in the car may oppose the pickup and it can be hard to accept the trip while driving. Starting soon, additional uberPOOL riders will be immediately added to existing POOL trips so you can focus on driving.

In the iOS app, this feature will require that you use the Uber in-appnavigation on POOL trips. You can continue to use your default navigationapp for all other trips.

How it works

1. Accept the first uberPOOL rider. Navigate to your first pickup as you normally would.

2. For each additional rider that is added, your route and directions will be updated automatically in theUber in-app navigation. Your Uberpartner app will notify you with a banner at the top of your screen and a sound.

3. Follow the Uber partner appnavigation to each riders' pickup and drop off locations.

Second new feature: Pause back-to-back trip requests

Need a break or ready to call it a day? Now you can stop new requests from coming in while you're completing your last trip.

This way you won't have to decline or cancel trip requests when your last rider is in the car. Simply tap the 'Go Online' toggle again when you're ready to get back on the road.
