Uber is just taking the p*** while weekdays it’s bloody quite and so you will struggle to make money and when its busy they force divers to work where they want by not allowing them to use destination..
And when it’s weekend they send you jobs miles away so have to burn your fuel off to pick thay cheapo going next street..and when it’s actually surges no pings because no one would pay that stupid 4x fare come on where is tfl who is so called regulator comforting Uber in every possible way... Khan actually playing game to be good infront bc drivers but actually behind everything planned why the hell the postponed language requirement... biggest mistake I have made to work
And invest money in this business ..new drivers be careful there is a trap once you come in it’s hard to to go back.

just by the muslims not working on eid, look how much of impact it had on reliability of uber for passangers. I had many passangers complaining about crazy wait time, surge and cancelling etc.

If even 50% of london drivers made a demonstration by turning of their app for something even as small as 1 hour every day at the same time, it will hit them hard!
They will have to listen and change!

The pax will be committing Hari-Kari if Uber don't get their licence and the local office quotes them a 20 minute, 30 minutes or even an hour wait along with a return to proper fares :)

Uber sends you jobs 10/15mins away, all you have to do is : nothing - don't accept jobs that are over 5mins away on a busy day. They send you non surge jobs, wait for the multiplier that you want. They play their game, drivers play theirs. If you taking long to get to pax, just cancel, don't think twice, don't wait in red routes or busy roads, cancel if pax are not there.

The problem is that you accept everything that they send you, You don't have to. Agree 100% that Uber disabled the destinations option, that is a loss, but we can log off at any time.

I was on a long 1.8x surge job, the woman jumped on the man.. I stopped and asked them to leave, easy, No wrong, no fear.

No, they don't and once you actually work this out you will realise who is really to blame.
I think the uber office should be closed weekends and give you a rest.

There are too many who will work while you plan to log off to make that happen.
Most of the drivers are villager peasants that don't know left from right and some can't even see past their nose.
They can not comprehend action like you're talking about.
They're the people that vote according to the picture of the political party

Lol you are the reason Uber doesn't have no morals because drivers like you can't even accept the fact... and always there to serve the master...
How's that work then? You're telling me I am serving the master but you are the one being "forced" into working where you didn't want to.
Yes, there is a slave here, but it ain't me.

My accountant just did mine for 2017/18.... his comment was priceless. Why u working for free man .
Saying that if you got old banger worth 2k 10 plate and 7 years ncb and you work busy hours you can make some money. It's just people buying new cars and on finance that they're not making anything at all and they do 60 hours plus when it's not busy for those 60 hours of the week then there's the problem.

I said above i made a mistake and that's why I created this thread advice/warning.... leaving this isn't easy as we all car finances and bills to pay so yes I am Slaving currently because I am stucked while Uber making their image on my money... this is 21 century slavery this trade had money because Uber wasn't there before and I still believe it will get better if Uber won't be here in UK anymore...

Fact are facts so many driver doesn't think it's worth driving for Uber but at the end there is no other option as Uber messed this trade and making their billions on driver expenses...

How did you come to work for Uber, what were you doing before?

Hope you weren't a victim of the referral fee?

If you think Uber are the devil incarnate because they make money from your hard work you really need to go and work at a local office for 4 weeks.

Ever since PH began in London ALL operators make money from the drivers, be glad you are on commision basis because then you only have to pay the operator if you have earnt it.

And if you expand this even further them pretty much all employers make money out their employees.

Anyway that's academic because by your own admission Uber aren't making money for your hard work because you aren't actually doing any, all you are doing is sitting in a surge area turning down work. Has it never occurred to you to ask why you are getting pings from so far away?

Cue the conspiracies now and trust me there are loads of them each dumber than the last, in fact every explanation you could think of EXCEPT for the only one that is the important one.
