So, this is new. If I understand this correctly... while I'm in route to a pax, if there is another CLOSER pax, Uber will cancel/redirect current trip and reroute me to new pax?? Hmmm... I'm not sure how this is better or improved customer service or necessarily a "trip upgrade" for the driver. Other than they won't cancel a trip if it's the same "surge" pricing...
