Today I had payout/app issues with 2 trips -

Trip 1 = 18 min - 10.7 miles

App recorded distance is .20 mi, reads that the final address was "Rider Directions" which can't be true, since we did end up at her destination via the app.

Trip 2 = 21 min - 13.4 miles

App recorded distance is .09 mi. Has the correct start/end addresses, but shows on the map that I picked him up and dropped him just a little down the block - screen shot attached.

Is this common?

Take a few mins every day to go back and check each trip. I look to see if the map trip looks right and the numbers add up. Could save you tons of money. Kind of annoying but you learned how much you could lose if you just let it slide.

Had this problem when I 1st began Uber, contacted support several times and asked how to prevent & they said keep checking & write in when you find mistakes ; but we have no way of preventing this. So I found out on my own that the Uber app doesn't work well with Waze and that's what caused the problem 4 me; since then I just use Uber's Nav when I drive 4 them & it's been problem free. Lyft app works seamless w Waze.

The problem is that the uber app malfunctions if its not the active screen. On top. Uber app hates to be in background. It will log u off if not in trip and if in trip, it will stop updating your progress alobg the trip until u get to location at which point it will draw a line as the crowflies between points abd pay based in that distance which is usually less. So u gotta have it manyally adjusted

Yesterday I had tons of problems with the app - sometimes the nav shows at the top, and my icon is an arrow with a circle in it. Other times it doesn't show navigation, and the icon is a Black vehicle. This might be the difference between X and XL trips. I initially thought it was an app update, but then it bounced between the two as the night went on.

The "crow flies" thing happened to me too, thanks for posting about that. I guess I just have to watch every nickel.

Isn't Uber AMAZING?....I mean where else can you drive a car expecting 1 amount then have to actually check to make sure your paid right each and every trip?..I mean it simply AMAZING!...

Oh yeah I DON'T have to do that I drive a taxi and only person collecting my $$ is me at the end of every fare so I KNOW I'm being paid correctly like I said must be amazing to have to check and then realizing your shorted or even zeroed out for no reason......I guess Uber on!!! *shrugs*
