There has to be significant experience on this forum dealing with traffic citations. Does anyone have specific recommendations for a traffic attorney that has a high win rate, isn't afraid to go into court? Reasonable cost is a plus.

Also, I understand there are legal referral services in our area. Recommendations which to use and which to avoid?

Jurisdiction: Fullerton, CA

Please be kind enough and not post sarcasm or " don't get a ticket in the first place " advice. That ship has sailed. Experiences with Fullerton PD and courts is a plus though. Looking for a concensus on how they tread U/L drivers.

Not sharing.
Maybe after it is settled, I'll share, but I'm not about to publicize anything before consulting an attorney.

Funny how many others make that mistake. Prosecutors and investigators regularly read forums and then use posts as evidence in court.
THESE DAYS COPS IN CALIFORNIA DONT EVEN ARREST PEOPLE FOR SIMPLE DRUG POSSESSION

I DOUBT THEY ARE SCOURING RIDESHARE FORUMS FOR A TRAFFIC TICKET AND DOING ALL THE DEEP INVESTIGATIVE WORK TO LINK YOUR NICKNAME TO YOU

Let's think about that. Describe a traffic citation that has a number of legal implications in detail to a forum of well meaning people with no legal training so that they can decide what legal action to take, in order to simply get the name of a qualified traffic lawyer?

It sounds a lot like this:

"I'm having gastric problems. Can you give me the name of a good gastric doctor?"
"I have no medical training, but you have to tell me and everyone listening on this forum all your symptoms first so that we can diagnose you before we give you the name of a qualified specialist who will know better than us."

Really????

Don't get me wrong, I'm not upset at anyone for asking. I might even ask. But I'm not discussing anything before I talk to an attorney and certainly not on a forum before it is settled! That's one lesson I've learned from many other lawyers in many jurisdictions. I just don't know who the good attorneys are locally and was hoping that someone here would have a recommendation.

Okay, that's a good start. Do you have any personal experience with them, such that you can recommend them, (no, I'm not asking for details), did they represent you or someone you know, and DID THEY WIN?

Or did you use google?

Yes, it probably sounds snarky at this point, it's not my intent. Now, I'm just turning into a frustrated Uber driver, but I used to be a database engineer. I can search google better than 99% of the world. What I can't do is get direct referrals from local drivers that have gone to court with a good attorney and won, by doing a google search! Do you know how many phony recommendations exist online or in Yelp? I'm looking for solid, personal recommendations based on direct experience.

I do recognize that I asked for both services and attorneys. I want to know WHY you're suggesting anyone! :smiles:

And I still thank you for your effort, no matter how you respond to this comment! I really do appreciate everyone's sincere effort!

I got a ticket in Santa Monica a couple of years ago for going through a red light. It was YELLOW when I entered the intersection, which is the law. I asked the officer if I could see his dash cam, he refused. Now I could have done it on my own, but decided to just hire one of those lawyers online for $200 to go in and fight the case. Never even spoke to the lawyer. Just wrote out what happened. Never even had to go to court. CASE WAS DISMISSED.

I am pretty sure it was offtherecord.com It was one of those services that say they have a 90 some percent success rates. Anyway, I knew damn well that I entered the intersection when it was yellow, and I knew the cops had the footage of it.

Forgot to say the service was pretty good. Their lawyers seem to do this stuff all day everyday so their pros with traffic cases.

I looked it up and it was offtherecord.com. It was $190. And worth every penny. Never went to any of the court dates as they took care of everything.

Useful! I actually asked about dashcam, they said no (I have the video of that.) I'll add a subpoena to the list of things to get. Forgot that they will lie in order to elicit a reaction, or evidence, or to suppress exculpatory evidence. :sneaky:
