So I'm approaching 100k on my car. What
things should I do to my car to maintain it?
Anyone clean the mass air flow sensor? Or the throdle body?
The question is whether you want to pay it now or when it breaks down. My Prius hit 100,000 miles and I paid $1,000 in preventative maintenance. Then Toyota mailed me a $300 check. So I paid $700. Toyota tells me the breaks are good and need no work. I buy tires for $500 every yr. Oil changes every 3 months. My understanding is that the battery will need to be replaced around 200,000 miles which should be about $3,000.

What year? Do you have the owners manual? I have a 2013 and can check for you if you don't have one. Mine only has 30K on it. It was my wife's and I just started using it for rideshare.
Wife car. Score.

"What things should I do to my car to maintain it?". Leave it at home would be nice.

Great topics, my Prius hit 240,000 two weeks ago, have consistently done 5,000 mile oil changes, sparks once, brakes once and replaced the large battery. So I decided it was time for some serious maintenance , looked on Yelp and found a local Prius guy in Lake Forest, did about $2,000 dealer work for $850. Did plugs, coolants , transmission fluids and rear axle. Love the car!
