My Tips on how to Pass your Topographical Test

Not much information out there apart from everyone trying to take your money.
Don't think "How hard is it to read a map" lol
It's not but you have to know the protocol of how TFL want you to write on the test.

Don't pay hundreds of pounds as there is no need.
Unless you can't Read or Write English then you will need further training.

I have a uni degree and have worked for years in a profession that requires complex report writing and analysis. Have been driving 20 plus years and have lived in London for about 25. I thought I would walk it. Instead I failed miserably, 38%.

For anyone taking the test; don’t be a smartarse like me and assume you will walk it. Take it damn seriously and learn the skills. ( Second time round, passed by the skin of teeth).

Exactly mate, I was nearly that smart arse lol
How hard is it to read a map lol
Glad I took the time to prepare. At my test was a guy that did his first test by just turning up as he thought "how hard can it be" he got 41%.

Preparation is key so you know how they want it written. I got 84% and to be honest I should of done better. Done and dusted, now give me my licence please lol

The hardest part of passing any test is getting your name right.

From aldwych to paddington plot the most direct route

I went for major routes that most experienced drivers like myself would use I presumed, thinking many combinations ,no incorrect or correct answers, time of day not taken into consideration apparently, feel totally mugged 10 months ago application 2 fails and back to square one.
11 year experienced driver now with a licensed Tesla (north Herts) that I thought
Uber would more than welcome ?
Tell me the route you used
