To those who have lost lax privledges, you should go make a gofund me page to hire an attorney. If there is some way to verify the funds will be use for legal consultation in regards to people losing their lax privledges, I will contribute at least a $100. I think this would be good for all of us. Uber is acting like an employee with absolutely no transparency at all, and no due process. Maybe they are within their legal rights, but its uber, so I doubt it.

Yes!
Break the rules (that you agreed to), game the system and cheat other drivers, then whine about it when you get caught...
Sue somebody YOU are the victims!
I am talking about transparency. I believe uber should be transparent about this stuff if they are effecting someones income. There is this little thing called due process in this country, and yes, I believe in it.

Where in the TOS does it say that you can't go offline while in the LAX geofence?

Just because you believe it does not make it ok to break the rules, game the system, cheat, and violate the agreement that you agreed to..
And, no, there is not necessarily due process in a contractor agreement.

I agree that Uber needs to be more transparent, but whining after you (or whoever) get caught breaking the rules and claiming to be victims is BS.. Grow up.

I assume you are talking about this "When on airport property, the Uber Driver app must be open at all times (please do not sign out until you exit the airport)" in the document.

I guess the question becomes, what is considered airport property. I know a lot of areas in the geo fence that are NOT airport property.

It says app must be open on airport property. Doesn't say you have to be online, merely login to app. Furthermore it says while on airport property. There is private property in geofence. If I have app on while eating in the Greek restaurant I am not on airport property. If I am in car wash cleaning car, I am not on airport property. Nothing says you have to be online, and you only have to logged in while on actual airport property.

No. I'm just a grownup that knows the difference between right and wrong and believes in living up to my obligations/agreements, and taking responsibilities for my actions and poor choices.
..all things that apparently some parents dont teach their babies anymore..

Good luck with your GoFund me or lawsuit, or whatever you do. You are truly victims and someone (else) has to pay the price for your actions..

Trying to find a loophole to wiggle your way out of breaking the rules, cheating, etc, is sad to watch.
I am an independent contractor, I choose where and when my app will be on, as long as I am not on airport property. So you, keep kissing ubers ass and doing base rate rides.

And lol you come all the way from the ie to work lax. Bahahahahahahahhahahhahahahhahahah

Typical and predictable response to someone that disagrees with you, or does not say what you want to hear.

Cool another lawsuit that will take five years to settle so y'all can get a 18¢ Pool Credit

I'm all in on this idea. Even without a union, we can organize and help each other help ourselves. Hell, if we showed any solidarity whatsoever maybe even boss man takes notice and invites us to talk.
He may invite you to the table, doesn't mean he's gonna listen.

It's not about the payout, it's the working conditions.

Could certainly be the case but what if something did come of it? Better than watching guys get taken out for running as fast as they can just to stay in place.
