You hear all these lame stories of riders who become victims right?? More or less just people who get off seeing their name posted in some lameass magazine or newspaper that no one reads anyway, and they use some driver (real or not) that Uber won't question but simply remove anyway, as an easy way to do it. Those people are the definition of "....". (There are far too many names out there so I will let you fill that in).
Anyway, here is a TRUE story of how it really goes. I picked up these four intoxicated dbags from a sushi place on Rainbow. They wanted to go to TI so off we went all the while knowing in the back of my head that this was not gonna go smooth. TI is much to far from Rainbow and Windmill for it to be. Sure enough we are a mile down the 215 when the idiot in the middle (backseat) started playing rough with the other two. I let it go for about 10 seconds till I felt a push on my driver seat. Now the unsaid rule is that you never mess with the driver but these idiots forgot that part and continued even after I started to yell. Keep in mind I am outnumbered 4 to 1 and doing 70mph. So, plan B goes into affect. I keep a baton taser lodged between me and the center console. Until this very moment I have never had to pull it out, but I did tonight. I must take it for granted but I forgot how the split second little "zap" can look and sound to the unknowing. Keep in mind I never tagged anyone because I am thinking that once they hear it most people do what my little group did and just settle the f&$k down. Conversation becomes a lot more calm and things like "sir" also become popular all of the sudden. But still it can make for a rather uncomfortable car ride. So was I wrong? I notified Uber. Didn't throw anyone under the bus but simply said that the passenger was a little to intoxixated and I didn't want to be matched with him again. Most importantly, I didn't go cry to the RJ about my "terrfying" ordeal either. But then again with so many riders making Uber look bad, maybe I should have...
