Some riders may not be to impressed with us, after paying twice the fare, so tomorrow I'm obviously, should I be asked did I participate I will say something like " oh yeah I head about that " but Tues. is my golf day with the lads, or my son was sick in the morning I had to take him to the doctors, I think you get my drift. Lets face it they use us because were cheap, so the above will apply when they rate us if they have had to pay more. Having said that, it is still a further opportunity to explain that we only get 64cents in the dollar, pay Ubers GST etc. and of course you are sorry for any extra cost or inconvience it may have caused. So briefly, there may be some irate Riders out there tomorrow so to all drivers who participated be careful should the above situation occur.

I'm not worried about saying I was logged off today as a form of industrial action. I think there's a lot of sympathy from passengers around the rates. I'm often asked - always by blokes - how much we earn - and when they're told they aren't impressed.
