I'm so damn tired of being the nice guy, handling luggage at the airport, opening doors etc.. All for a stupid 5 star.

I take very few pool rides and when I do I don't take another rider, but the other day I Picked up a girl on pool a second call came in and she told me not to take it, she was late for work! I was WTF, why you take pool if your in a hurry? "It's cheaper" .. If I dont take it will you tip me to make up my lost ride? Nope Uber said no tipping.

From now on I'm turning every conversation into one about the app soon being updated with a tip button, and how great it will be because passengers often have to "over tip" for lack of change or not tip and uncomfortably appologize, and how this will help so much.

Salesmanship baby! Took me a while but I woke up.

Bro u know what I do when that happens to me, which it does all the time, I go and pick up the second rider. Next time they will think twice before deciding to be cheap. Don't even tell them or ask them, just drive and pick up the second rider. No explanations needed. I just can't believe some of the pax men fukn what's the world coming to. Giving 5 mile rides for $2. Not even, it comes out to less with expenses

Got my first tip using my Square Register. Was helping a first time rider on extended business in LA. Said he wants to tip me but no cash. I said if he's comfortable with it, I can use his Credit Card for the tip.

- Square Register App + Free Square Card Reader
- $5 Tip
- within 30-60 seconds he got a email/text notification that his Amex Card had been billed. That was like about 2 seconds after he asked if he could get a receipt.

He happy...me happy...why Uber no happy?

I'm curious--has anyone ever turned in a request to change a pool ride into a regular one because the rider insisted you not take a second pax? I'm curious how that would play out.

Do you mean turn it into Uber ? If so they would respond with a FU and remind you of the policy, you "must" pick up the second pax. the pax knows the rules and it's their problem if they don't like it ""

No advantage for taking the 2nd one unless higher surge or is surging. If they don't want to pick up 2nd pax, they need to pay you not to do so. Use it to your advantage. If they balk then tell them I can get I trouble for skipping it and why you need to be compensated for the lost income. Hopefully they blink before you take the 2nd ride.

I have square reader and let the pax tell me how he would tip but don't have cash. Once I mention Square Reader, they either pay with their credit card or they find an excuse. "Oh, maybe next time! " then I 2 star their lying ass.

Even though you will get a bs reply from uber. you should still tell them you had a problem with the rider.

Or you could imediately pull over and tell them your going to end the trip and start a regular one. And your teedering on a 1 star. Which you will do anyway.
I may also add to her an evaluation, "you can not stand guys that are cheap right? and you expect me to be like that too?

Maybe she thought you would have no problem since others did not.
