Are you sure it's not the people? I'm starting to think drunks are just terrible tippers in general.

Drunks, College Kids and people from India/Pakistan are bad tippers IMO. And if you give me the 'I'll tip you in the app' line, you get 3 stars until I see a tip.
I believe that Indians never tip - and it is a cultural thing. In general, they like to negotiate for everything, and I think it pisses them off that they cant negotiate the fare. I have never once received a tip from someone from India.
Chinese are pretty good tippers though.

I had a handful of teens who wanted to go a mile or two from their house to the Monroe Wegmans, was kinda bummed that it was a short ride of teens, but was the good kind of shocked when I opened the app later and saw they tipped. Nice to know that somebody taught their kids to be nice to service workers. :D
If you are Indian (not native american) and get easily offended, please keep reading...

**** All Of You. My first hit last night was 6 Indians going from Niagara Falls to downtown Buffalo. The shuttle bus they rode in on,left them there because they were late...I was at the pickup point in 3 minutes of receiving the ping. I listened to his story on how they were late but the bus left them anyways (the nerve), pretended to show them compassion for their dilemma, answered all of his stupid questions, explained to them useless things about NF and Buffalo, provided them things to do while down at Canalside (at their request), I pulled up to their hotel and opened the door for them....this Qunt had the nerve to tell me, I'm rating you three stars, you were over priced...and walked away.

While the bad rating doesn't actually effect my rating because it isn't considered a driver issue, the fact that this non tipping bastard had the balls to smile to my face and say that, **** You.

Terrible. I would actually submit a message and say you had a problem with the ride and that the rider was rude, which he was. I think it will be on harder than just stars. Telling uber drives they are overpriced is like telling a shoe shine boy he pays to much to shine the crap off your shoes as you're reading the paper.

The kid I drove a few days ago who claimed he was a Lyft driver who would make $60 a trip late night was either Indian or Pakistani. He tipped $3 though...

Why do people lie about uber/lyft wages when we all know they are lying? $60/ride on lyft ha!

"2am primetime, just have to know where and when primetime is" never called it surge, always primetime.

It is also accepted in the India culture to be deceitful in business dealings. In a past job earlier in my working life we worked with India IT firms, and you always had to check the invoices because they overbilled and put false charges on. Not being racist, just pointing out a cultural trait.
Depending on the rates in your city, a single 50-mile trip can yield $60. Shorter if Primetime or Boost. In Buffalo, if the trip took an hour, without Primetime or Boost, you'd get about $61.80 before the Lyft Cut.

What is your "Lyft Cut"? Is it the same 30% as your "Uber Cut"?

You could. I've made $55 on a lyft trip. Once. Most are going to be like everybody else's: < $10!
He made it sound routine. Which is how I knew he was full of it.

My absolute longest trip, out to Del Lago from Roch, got me 48$ (Uber). It was nice because it was time I didn't have to spend waiting for a new rider, but also left me out in Waterloo at 3:30 am on a Sunday morning. *shrugs*
