OK gonna try not to rant about the absolute atrocity that is the Uber tipping situation.
What I do want to know is why some of my riders think they have added automatic gratuity on their trips.
Apparently their is a percentage you can lock in that tips the driver automatically. I surely dont see any extra money on my statements and it's not fair to confuse the riders into thinking they are tipping (which they kindly wanting to do) when the drivers are not getting it.
Obviously we all are completely miffed at why a rider who would tip a cab ride that is 40% more expensive than an uber and not tip an Uber driver. Why a bartender gets a $1 everytime they sell you a 4$ bottle of beer which entails reaching into a cooler and setting it on the bar.
I love how it's always the harworking people like cooks, waiters, etc.. that you typically receive tips from. It was like that when I managed a valet. People with the nicest cars were stiffs a lot of the time while people that can relate to other hardworking people with modest means were the best tippers.
It's quite the study in human behavior.
Anyways,
If someone could shed some light on the % tipping thing that would be great.
Thanks-Brian
