I know a lot of people complain about Uber's no tipping policy but is Lyft any better in San Antonio? For me the tipping with Lyft is a little better but not much. I get tipped about 1 in 8 or 9 rides with Lyft and a little less with Uber. I also get at least 5 times the rides with Uber. The cost is about the same so I think people just don't like tipping.

If Lyft went to a no tipping policy and and raised their rates a little, everyone would complain but we would make more money.

NO!!! how about ALL the apps offer tipping?? "people don't like tipping"...sherlock over here...
My point was that it doesn't matter much that Lyft offers tipping on their app; people still don't tip most of the time, so we would be better off if they dropped the tipping and raised the rates a little.

Yes, I wish Uber would offer tipping but until passengers start asking for it in big numbers (in an alternate universe maybe) it's not going to happen. We can ***** and complain about the tipping situation or we can face reality and accept it.

As you pointed out with your oh-so-clever sarcastic remark, the fact that people don't like tipping is obvious. You can't change societal trends but smart people adapt.
