I've noticed a couple times recently where I am waiting at the right spot for the passenger and the timer does not run down. It doesn't run at all. Twice I've waiting quite a while, canceled the rides, and never gotten paid for waiting 5 minutes because the timer didn't start, and I know I was in the right spot.

When that happens just Watch your watch and when 5min. Is up cancel.ive done that and got my cancel fee

I take screenshot. Proves I was there, that I was on pin. I will also take screenshot before cancel, after cancel, and most importantly the waybill incase the trip has technical issues and can't be found.

I also use a screen recorder for entire drive time, it's easier to get a screenshot than frame capture. Have to get into habit of opening up waybill for trip record.

It's just an app glitch. Close and reopen the app and the timer will be there, and will have counted down properly.
I suppose it could be. After I get screenshot, I will try it. I am already suspicious though, missing Trips and such.

Might be part of same glitch that is messing with GPS map. arrow isn't being shown sometimes. Usually flicking up and down on ride info takes care of it, I have had to restart. InApp Nav.
