I am approved via background check and everything except I just need to take my car in to get the vehicle inspection. However, I am also moving to California soon. Is it true that I need to be a legal resident and/or have a California drivers license for a period of 1 year prior to being able to Uber/Lyft in California?

When I started driving for Uber I asked where can I drive because I travel all over. They told me I could drive anywhere in California only. I assume it is because I only have a California drivers license

I don't think you have to have a CA DL for one year, but you must have have a DL for one year if you're older than 25, I believe.
