Shit gets crazy at night. You got people racing on that section of the gcp at over 100 mph. It's usually the point where the GCP passes under the LIE to exit 13 where you get off to go to the van wyck. Seen so many wrecks coming home after my shift, I can't even keep track. Gotta be careful out there.

From LIE just go a quarter mile further and take Van Wyck instead of GCP. A lot less crazies that way.

I remember 10-12 ago on the gcp right by the queens blvd exit going west there was a "speedbump" and every weekend without fail there was an accident Fri and Sat, had a pax that was in his friends car doing 130mph, he said ended up outside the gcp by the service road was in a coma for 7 months and took him like 6 years to finally be able to walk again.

Crazy I would never turn around on the GCP and go the opposite direction. I should count by blessing I pass that area about 12:45 last night going home I guess it was before it happen .

I ALways Take Van Wyck instead of GCP for that very reason. I feel like the 18 wheelers are better than dealing with the Nascar racers on GCP

When pax ask me why not GCP i tell them chances of an accident increases dramatically on the GCp
