Hello everyone,
I joined this forum when I was booted from Uber July 2017. I enjoyed having this little community to learn from as well as vent my frustrations when Lyft started turning evil about six months back. However, the straw that broke the camel's back for me was when I was switched to the new surge or bonus. I no longer could see myself taking all this risks ($2500 deductible), with no real benefits and wear n tear to my car just for $18-20/hr.
I always believed anything less than $22/hr wasn't worth it for me. So I had to swallow my pride and go back to the traditional work force. With perseverance I was able to land a $20/hr position with full benefits and opportunity for over time. Yes, it's not close to the $25-30 I used to make in the golden days, but those days are slowly diminishing even for those on Uber.
So good luck to those who will continue to carry the flame and to those who are fed up and disgusted by Lyft just like I became, just move on and say a big F U to Lyft.
I will keep my account active of course just in case they offer any WORTHWHILE incentives on a day I'm available. No, $2 "bonus" or $6 for five consecutive trips in the middle of freaking rush hour between 4-5mp is just insulting. I truly have no clue why anyone would work rush hour hours in the afternoon without any sizable surge. But I digress...
Thanks everyone!
