"As for Susen, she sets a goal of making $100 a day while the kids are at school. ” If I start at 8 or 9 a.m., I might make that by 10. Or it might be 2 p.m.,”

$100 an hour then huh? $50 an hour? 6 hours, worst, $100? $16/hr. So lets say its $100 / day for 7 days straight, thats only $700. Lets throw some tips in, say $100. (Whoa) Minus gas. Is that truck what they use? Oh better deduct at least $100 per week for that. So back to $700/wk. Dude teacher guy works F/T then goes out and makes $900 per week? Scratch everything. $1500/wk x 52 = almost $80,000 a year. lol. I call BS because if you are making almost 80K a year THEN WHY TEACH? Do Lyft more and push 6 figures. I never heard anyone making 6 figures as lyft drivers LOL. Anyways, post the earnings screen shot and prove it. And the 5 kids must love the fact their parents are never home. Whos taking care of the kids?

I can give a benefit of the doubt. Maybe the couple above owns a body shop, and paid out of their own supplies and work force to paint a full size truck pink. But my gut says, it was lyft that covered the costs to paint that truck. And looking at the couples shoes and clothing, again my gut says they dont pull $1500 a week. Dear lyft, if you're going to pull a marketing stunt, copy what the people on the radio do. They sort of ease into advertisements and mix their personal life into the advertisement so that you cant tell they are selling you something.

It said that at any hour of the day one of them is driving. They tag team.

That's the part that bothered me. They are never home together with the kids. Never home together with each other.

To me, if you are going that route, deciding that you need the money more than the time together, why not get a better job. Just my opinion.

This "story" is weird. When I google the thing about susan all I find are weird blog articles. Is there any actual article anywhere or is this just some viral marketing campaign by lyft? Wait, that question was rhetorical.

These people are like 99% of the country. They net in the ballpark of $12/hour, a bit more driving drunks, and less during the days. A pickup truck is a particularly stupid choice, especially if they had to pay to have it painted. Can't drive XL, it's awful on gas.

Speaking of which why did they pay to have it painted? Like I said, viral marketing campaign.

The one honest thing about the picture is that both of them look to be in God-awful physical health in part, no doubt, because they spend their free time driving people around.

Remember it is 2 people making (supposedly) $80k/yr. Less expenses and it ain't that great if you divide by 2.

Cutting them a break there are a lot of couples that work opposite split shifts. You gotta do what you gotta do sometimes. Saves on daycare. Also in the article they admitted hitting the top end of $1500 a week was rare.

View attachment 164901 Not sure the link was allowed so I decided to take the post down. As sickening sweet as the story was it probably had a referral link in it.
If she's pulling $100 a day, she's better off working as a dedicated FT sub with any school district in this country:

Maryland, richest state in the union:
$60 to $100 a day

CA 3rd richest state in the union

SF USD sub teachers
$157 a day to $190 a day (long term working over 71 days)

Sacramento USD sub teachers
$116 to $135 a day based on school district

Mississippi poorest state in the union:
$73 a day

Even if she lives in Mississippi, she'd still make a guaranteed $73 daily. ie $18 to $9 an hr for a 4hr to 8 hr day. Which for her, translates into.....

....Job security. Exactly the sort of consistent paycheck Lyft typically comes up short on delivering each pay period. lmao
