Drove a 20 something to airport. Said he was an Über driver. Thought we had a friendly conversation. Had 3 rides today and I know the other 2 gave me five stars because I saw them do it. Had a perfect 5 star rating for my 1 day and 7 days then it dropped to 4.77 for one day and 4.88 for 7 day. The punk kid probabley got pissed cause I didn't open the door for him cause every thing else was a perfect ride. Only an $11 ride. Geeze!

You have zero idea who rated you what beyond what you witnessed. It is possible a pax from a previous week finally got around to rate you for example. No way of knowing. Don't let Uber contro you this way by obsessive worry over what is nothing but bullshit. Do your thing. It's only about control and distracting you from what really matters. Focus on your expenses, the number of drivers in your market, making the job easier....... pay less attention to noise, this being a prime example.

Actually if it was from someone over a week ago it would not affect my 1 day or 7 day rating. It stays in order. Yes I do stress about my ratings because I have been deactivated before. I am elderly and can't find full time work due to medical problems. I have no social security or pension. I am hanging onto this job for dear life literally. I get accused of being mad even when I smile because my mouth just so happens to turn downward ( I'm old lol). I try my best to be upbeat and friendly and I don't complain because I don't believe in biting the hand that feeds me. So when I get a low rating I rack my brain to try to find out why and when. I get pissed at young asses that play with my survival. When I started UBER I was homeless but always kept my car in good condition. I almost lost that too. So I am grateful for UBER. I hate to hear people complain and call people loosers for being a driver. There are lots of things that need to be fixed and the rating system is one. It's very unfair and stressful and most of all distracting.
