Last Friday, I received a Reservation trip request, while I was in Maribyrnong, for a pick up in Essendon.

I arrived at the Essendon address and picked up an elderly couple who were travelling to Camberwell, to attend a birthday party. The Uber trip had been ordered by their son in Camberwell. The trip started as normal, that's why I knew the destination address. My Waze GPS app came up covering the Uber App.

While enroute from Essendon to Camberwell, the elderly couple received a phone call from their son questioning where they were, because another Uber driver was waiting at their address in Essendon.

When we arrived at Camberwell, I turned off my Waze app but found that my Uber App was off-line and there was no record of this trip being undertaken.

After numerous attempts to contact Uber Support over the weekend I finally got a call from a support worker to tell me that there is a known glitch in the Uber system with Reservation trips, causing them to disappear while en route to destinations. I was then reimbursed with the fare for the missing Reservation trip.
You went offline instead of starting ride or started then went offline somehow that automatically reassigned them to new driver.
