I decided to head back downtown after a 1:30AM drop off at Woody's in Cary. Downtown was surging, but it was only pink so I went off line. By the time I got back downtown it was solid red. Went back online and within seconds got a ping at 3.1 surge: downtown Raleigh to downtown Durham! To top it off, I got another ping as I was dropping them off in Durham that turned out to be a 2.2 surge back to Raleigh. Both riders were ready and waiting and we didn't have to play hide-and-go-seek. Two great trips in a row--it's been a long time since I've had anything like that.

I had 61$ in tips last night!

Nice to hear guys! Me, I'm still pissed about Saturday night. Did well but did 17 Lyft rides and got $3.00 in tips from just one pax. The other 16 didn't. Guess I'm eating stars again this week!
Yeah. I don't complain about the college kids not tipping. Nearly every ride I do is on surge and the students don't care cause they split it 4 - 6 ways. Not to mention, mommy and daddy are footing the bill anyway. I'd say about 95% of my fares are Duke and UNC kids so I guess the surge is my tip. Though it still feels good to get cash in hand every now and then.

Awesome... Rarely do I get an decent surge fares. My best was $64 to Durham, but had to deadhead back to Raleigh and then signed off.

Next time, tell them that Uber charges $50 cleaning fee for that. (Seriously, see #2: https://help.uber.com/h/21dcbcf7-8fe0-4dd0-a906-06a0a427dc34 )
