The strike is over at 6pm and I guess I had low expectations and those low expectations were met. Not even a slight surge, cars everywhere 30 people held signs at the greenlight hub who didnt even look like drivers. I am actually relieved because it was hard work and the drivers at the airport looked like they were sleepwalking anyway.
I dont expect many drivers to strike overseas as everyone is now atomized and companies like Uber will take advantage of that fact. I was also annoyed at conspiracy theorists because that did not help.

I guess this saga is over and Uber will continue to list and maybe succeed or not its the way of the future. It will also spread to other jobs and all but the very few will have low pay, long hours and precarious income.

All our employee rights are being stripped away by evil elites, and it's depressing given how hard our ancestors fought so future generations could have employee rights.

Yeah but now with their apathy I feel that these drivers deserve it. I thank the drivers that did strike but I now despise the drivers that ignored the calls to strike and believe me, 80% of drivers got a pamphlet at the airport or were notified in social media.
The scab drivers have really nothing to offer they are greedy, shifty, self centered and worst of all apathetic. Sorry for my harsh language but these drivers really dont care about their own conditions so how are other people going to care.

And it took you all this time and effort to realise that?
Just take care of you and yours, that's all that's everyone else does.

I was already at the Airport when I handed out flyers so no skin off my nose. I guess its a good lesson for me why should people care about other people if people dont even care about themselves. I guess thats the way the world has gone and I just need to move with the times. If anyone goes to me, help this person or help that person I dont really care anymore.

Stop immigration from 3rd world countries and wage will increase.
Keep flooding Australia with people that will work for peanuts and wages will continue to drop.
Yes, but who's going to be manning all the servos, the dishwashers at restaurants, the tills at 7-11s across this great city? For God's sake, who's going to be driving all those Australia Post trucks? If you cut the Indians off, Melbourne will grind to a halt. Dirty dishes, empty bowsers, not a taxi in sight, mail piling up. It can't happen - Indians are the clogs, chains and gears of the industrial machine. With the good oil to keep it all churning smoothly provided by you know who...

yes but that attitude costs each driver a lot of money. The Vic inquiry puts it at $30,000 year, which sounds about right. So its really in everyones self interest to do something about it.The govt is slow to act.The other way is to protest at MP's offices or parliament. But i did get the word out with the help of a friend.A lot of people now know about the issues ..:roflmao:

Bad strike organisers put up follow up posts like the one you just did. You are the one that failed, no one else to blame but yourself. Fools should not be attempting strikes. We have warned you.

Calling drivers who you have failed to inspire "scabs" is even more stupid.

As for the TWU strike in the greengub (WTF they want with our industry now?), there was hardly any drivers there, mostly far left unionists chanting kill Uber slogans. They look and sounded like a group of tree hugers.

How shamfull both attempts were. :coolio:
