Here’s the perfect reason to not take pool every time you take a pool request it takes food out of another drivers mouth and Uber makes more and we the drivers make our same measly time and distance. I haven’t taken a pool request in forever and I took one Sunday night at the airport because it was late and I just wanted to get away from there. But will never take another scruber is the worst.

Yeah I think this is the biggest ripoff ever I made 14 dollars before tips and luber made 40 from a 65 dollar trip they're taking about 100% more than the drivers

That's why I stopped doing pool because it doesn't benefit nobody but uber two other drivers could've made some money

I took 2 pools once to see how it'd be.
1 cancel in front of a bar, 2 pickups on the same street and it was surging but I am sure I got jobbed somehow.
Only 2 pools I've done in 2 yrs on Uber.
This was in the middle of DC too.

I do Lyft Line in the suburbs cuz the odds of being matched are low.

I make Pool work for me. Uber probably lost money on me accepting Pool rides as a whole. I don't accept the second passenger unless it benefits me.
Stop New Requests and go the long way

I am SO glad there is no Poo in my little town.
I am in the Sacramento District, but a hundred miles to the north in Redding. A town of 100k or so (with burbs). We just too small for Poo I guess.

Looks like the strategy of accepting the first one then signing off to "no more" is a good way to do it. But, haven't I read that a driver or two got permanently put out, or tires slashed by Uber ... or something. I mean, they can TELL you're doing that. Is it ok with Uber?

When the new surge comes out then their is no point in picking up added pool that would be going farther because you would be getting base rate the whole time.

Depends on the length of the ride and the likelihood of riding with someone else.

And maybe another person won't be picked up after you. Maybe you'll be picked up after them.

Unless you commit to noshowing 1-5 pax per day and then take the absolute longest routes possible. Pool can be depressing. It helps convert a discount ride into a surger...especially on long routes in the burbs.
