Drivers check your fluids..buy the cheapest gas..get plenty of rest..let's not settle for no 1.4s or 2x..let's create some
4x surges by canceling everything under 2.5..this is the perfect pre Xmas gift that we have the power to do..Uber will have no choice but to spike the surges if we don't settle for kibbles & bits..btw that's dog food..understand drivers..by canceling everything under 2x on a special event like this..those same pax will re-request & at the same time new request will build on top of those..thus causing maybe 3x 3.5 or even 4x surges..but if we allow ourselves to bite at 1.4s or 1.7s..Uber knows that were desperate..when really we can shut it down..causing national headlines about not being able to handle a.massive event such as this.Think about it..you travel by plane..book a nice hotel..and didn't get to see the Pope thanks to Uber..REALLY

Correctamundo! In In-JAH and the Pilliphines, they do not know that the Pope's visit will create traffic jams, so they will believe the user and take away money. I will drive the taxi on that day, as I suspect that Uber Taxi complaints go a different route. I live near Catholic U, and I know how to skirt the traffic--which I plan to do. I am heading for Connecticut or Wisconsin Avenue with fifty OFF DUTY signs in the windows and the same showing on the top-light until I get there. Hopefully, I will get to stay there, The others can deal with the traffic; I will pick up all of the other people who still will want rides to go places other than where Pope Frank is.

I'm extremely doubtful of surges & traffic. There are a lot of in & out roads around Basilica & there will be a lot of out of towners. They won't know if you took a wrong turn or not.

I really think you have to be pretty hard core to want to get out there and answer some pings. It will be interesting to see what the surges go up to.

it will only be worth to take surge pings only to deal with that traffic headache
im not sitting in hours of traffic for 20cent/minute

It sure was..after dropping off a 2.1 to Fl Ave from Echo..I saw the surge jump to 3.7..I Dale Earnharted my azz back down NY Ave doing 70mph..slowed down for the traffic cam of course & snagged a 3.7 to GW

Me likes out of towners! They are always impressed with my city knowledge I don't have!
