This whole uber pro bs is really a useless crock of sh*t and it has resulted in turning away once good drivers. The rewards are sooo..... minimal in regards to the amount of extra work to maintain good standing. The trip duration is totally useless. I accepted a trip yesterday downtown and the trip duration said 17min. I accepted it and the ride still took me past Albany, I was pissed. Without trip direction, time is useless. Just let me know if it's 45min+ and that's all I need to know. You can keep the duration bs. The gas rebate reward and literally couple bucks more on quest is garbage. If you cut down (2) Starbucks lattes per week, you already save more $ than this stupid, phony reward. The tuition free online school is garbage. Why not give me free full tuition to SF State University? Online ASU or something? Is that like the old Trump college (nothing against Trump btw) ? So now uber wants us to slave over a point system just to maintain status which entitles you to garbage rewards. Wtf? Uber lost their damn minds. They are toying with my intelligence. Effective immediately, I will offer my most bottom basic service and just do me. I am being honest that I won't immediately quit / stop driving because I worked too hard to have excellent stats till today, I was an ideal ant. But no ideal anting anymore, but rather revenge anting. I used to give out water & gum, but on the contrary now, I will now find ways to take (longer routes,wait next block/shuffle, hide&cancel,cleaning fees,discrimination,etc.) from paxholes instead of any free entitled sh*t mfers. My rating is at a solid 4.99 and I'm sooo excited now that I can finally do me all the way until my rating does me in. I see this as better than quitting. I'm going to strategize on how to create my own daily "bonuses" rather than allow uber to continue to play me like a fool with points. Lol, points! Hahaha, try telling that to my mortgage bank. Anyhow, I've acted like an idiot to many other ant posters on this forum by often standing on the side of cust service and do the right thing for the company but boy was I wrong and I stand corrected. I have to apologize to those ants I argued with on behalf of uber crooks. This gig is still worth having only if you're in the mindset of "using & abusing" them meaning do & act how you please and take their money anyway you can short of causing any major incidents. I am definitely not landing within the parameters of the acceptance rate and or cancelation rate. Yesterday I gave a ride to 3 people for $11. One of the 3 got mad at me because I stopped at their express pool stop, which was passed their destination by 100 feet. I get it: she is a dumb, young, broke, yet spoiled student who wants to pay low rates but wants everything a higher rate gets you.
Why should I do anything but accept Uber X rides? Forget Uber’s stupid bonuses. Anyone doing this for a job now is an idiot. It’s time to get out
